The Origins
Between 1996 and 2001, Number 1 Playaz built one of Northwest Indiana's early independent hip-hop movements through cassette tapes, hand to hand distribution, and grassroots street promotion. Before streaming platforms existed, the movement grew through neighborhood support and local hustle.
